Dr. Abu Adil
Dr. Abu Adil, a dedicated advocate for sustainable and inclusive development, has devoted his career to researching and understanding the challenges faced by underserved populations in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. With his masters degree in social work and MD in prevention and social medicine, Dr. Adil founded and continues to direct a non-government organization that serves tribal and nomadic populations through healthcare, education, economic empowerment, and safe drinking water services.
For the last sixteen years, Dr. Adil has developed a deep connection to this region that spurred his passion to conserve natural resources for the generations to come. He has witnessed the challenges faced by many tribal and nomadic communities due to water contamination and scarcity, which has been the driving force of his research into the complexities of this issue and his resolve to seek viable solutions.

His tireless efforts have earned him recognition in the field of health care and education. Dr. Adil was honoured with The Mahatma Gandhi Sewa Puraskar Award by the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and a Nobel Award by the Global Human Rights Organization.
